Refund Policy

Burq will process refund requests for the delivery fee and tip within 30 days of the order date. Order value refunds will be subject to the delivery service provider’s policy. Please note the order value refund cap varies significantly across DSP’s (e.g. Uber’s cap is $2500, DoorDash’s is $2000, and some local providers are at $1000 or do not cover refunds at all).

Burq will honor refunds via the below criteria regardless of the delivery service provider’s policy or refund outcome unless otherwise noted. Refunds will not be automatically issued, but instead approved and processed upon request made to Burq’s customer support team. Any edge cases will be escalated to the delivery service provider to ensure Burq provides the optimal resolution for customers.

If multiple refund reasons apply (ex: a courier waits too long at a restaurant so they cancel, then DSP is unable to find another driver), the reason used to determine refund eligibility will be whichever issue happened first/was the catalyst for subsequent issues. If the reasons are unrelated, then the reason with the most generous outcome for the customer (i.e. the largest refund amount) will be applied.
